THE proof is the pudding when it comes to an apartment project on the former Tip Top bakery site in Brunswick East.
The Seeds development, by Little Projects, has only eight apartments remaining out of a total of 78.
Little Projects managing director Michael Fox said construction was complete on the five-storey building and buyers could inspect a fully furnished apartment.
“It’s not buying off the plan,” Mr Fox said.
“You can get the feel of the real thing and all the guesswork is taken out of it.”
The remaining two-bedroom, one-bathroom units have a balcony and a basement car park and storage cage.
The apartments have timber floors in the living areas and carpets in the bedrooms. Smeg appliances and stone bench tops feature in the kitchen.
The Learning Sanctuary, a 92-place childcare centre is located in the building and has a separate entry for families.
Seeds is part of a larger development featuring 411 apartments and townhouses.
Mr Fox said an essential part of Little Projects’ strategy was to respect the heritage of the original site. “We have kept elements of the brick façade as well as the Art Deco stables and building internal laneways that are reminiscent of the original urban style,” he said
Price range from $586,000 to $624,000.
