Hyatt Centric Melbourne

We are delighted to have completed our first hotel development and Australia’s first Hyatt Centric hotel. Located in the south-west corner of the CBD at 9-27 Downie Street, the project brings new life to this previously underutilised corner of Melbourne.

Boasting 26 levels with 278 rooms, Hyatt Centric Melbourne incorporates locally inspired design elements to reflect Melbourne’s unique heritage and urban landscape.

Designed by Architectus with interiors by Hecker Guthrie, the $250 million development presents an understated glass tower with a six-level podium, offering spacious function rooms on levels 5 and 6 plus a gym, lap pool and steam room for guests. On the rooftop, the stylish TOMA restaurant and bar enjoy spectacular views.

Construction commenced in May 2019. Built by Hickory, the hotel opened its doors in December 2021.
