Little Hall at the University of Melbourne

We are extremely proud to have recently completed Little Hall at the University of Melbourne. Offering hotel-style residences for 669 students close to the University of Melbourne’s Parkville campus on the northern edge of Melbourne’s CBD, Hayball designed a sophisticated building of enduring style.

Made possible by a generous $30 million donation from Jane Hansen and Paul Little, Little Hall presents a new benchmark in student accommodation. Little Projects Co managed the delivery of the project alongside architects Hayball and Hutchinson Builders.

The $160 million projects was completed in early 2020. In addition to the accommodation, the project contains multi-purpose study rooms, a cinema, a gymnasium, a rooftop terrace garden and a café.

Little Hall will house recipients of the prestigious Hansen Scholarship, which provides financial support and accommodation to high-achieving students who due to their personal circumstances, might otherwise not be able to study at the University of Melbourne.
