Bunnings Hawthorn

In 2004, Little Projects acquired the site and spearheaded the development in collaboration with Bunnings, culminating in the inception of Australasia’s inaugural multi-level Bunnings store.

This strategically positioned site, previously home to the PMP printing press for many years, underwent extensive demolition and environmental remediation to pave the way for redevelopment. Little Projects Co oversaw the entire development process, from securing town planning approvals to conducting design and construction assessments, all managed in conjunction with Becon for Bunnings.

The store encompasses expansive retail floors, complete with a mezzanine level and two levels of subterranean parking. The logistical intricacies of stocking and handling various goods were meticulously considered, especially regarding the loading docks for efficient goods receipt and collection, as well as seamless goods transfers between retail spaces and car parks, accounting for the diverse range of items available, such as wooden planks, BBQs, and metal sheets.
