Essendon Football Club Community, Education and Arts Centre

Little Projects Co managed the delivery of this state-of-the-art community facility for Essendon Football Club, alongside builders Harris HMC and architect Jackson Architecture.

The $21.5 million expansion of the NEC Hangar, also known as the Essendon Football Club Community, Education and Arts Centre presents a momentous opportunity for the community, with brand-new facilities dedicated to women’s football, accessible dormitory accommodation housing para-athletes and support camps for Paralympics Australia as well as community change rooms and match day facilities to support community leagues.

Designed to address the growth in women’s and community sport in the north-west corridor of Victoria, the facility also boasts a health and wellbeing club and a Glory and Fame sports museum which is open to the public, celebrating the rich history of athletes from Essendon Football Club, Paralympics Australia and the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Sports Hall of Fame.
